Position Overview

The Distribution Specialist is responsible for hands-on inventory management within the storeroom, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools and equipment. This role ensures accuracy in inventory records and supports Distribution operational needs.

Essential Functions

Essential functions of this position include

• Perform day-to-day storeroom tasks such as receiving, storing, issuing and returning materials, tools and equipment to maintain accurate inventory levels.

• Conduct cycle counts, reconciliations, audits, and inspections to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance with quality standards.

• Safely operate material-handling equipment, including forklifts, in compliance with safety guidelines.

• Order material

• Coordinate with Distribution warehouse and/or vendors to ensure timely and accurate receipt of materials, tools, and equipment.

• Collaborate with Team Lead, district personnel, Supply Chain Management and other departments to meet inventory demands and address discrepancies.

• Maintain organized and orderly office conditions, adhering to 5S and lean practices as applicable

• Excellent communication skills

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Leadership skills
• Experience in warehousing or inventory management.
• Collaboration and delegation to team members.
• Familiarity with inventory systems and stockroom organization best practices.
• Physical capability to lift and move materials up to 50lbs.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Candidates must successfully pass a full background check
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft software
