Job Details:

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM


Pay: $68,0000 - $87,000 annually

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Emergency Management Coordinator to oversee emergency preparedness and response efforts for our utility organization. The Coordinator will develop and implement emergency plans, train staff on emergency procedures, and coordinate response efforts during crises to ensure the safety and continuity of operations.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
• Develop training programs and tools related to the overall Business Continuity and Emergency Preparedness program and specific division implementation.
• Develop and coordinate simulations to test and reinforce our ability to respond effectively to a variety of events both within and across plans and divisions.
• Provide support in developing and implementing business continuity, emergency restoration and other contingency plans.
• Coordinate Alternate Work Location infrastructure reviews, develop and implement web based and other tools, and maintain readiness of shared capabilities.
• Develop incident management scripts, maintain responder assignments, and provide training.
• Support other program initiatives including audits, schedules, resource acquisition, technology integration, communications, and other activities as assigned.
• Performs all essential aspects and functions of the job as well as any other specific job requirements.
• Support Business Continuity Manager with EPBC yearly sign off.
• Review all SEOPM and EOPs - Bi-Annual Review Process – Keeping all documents current.
• Provide technical expertise and SME knowledge about both the current and desired future states of the emergency preparedness efforts with the ability to identify feasible solutions to mitigate business risk exposure.
• Support development of projects to satisfy corporate initiatives and strategies.
• Facilitate emergency plans revision processes and methodology that enable all stakeholders to meet deadlines.
• Facilitate and oversee readiness capabilities of the System Emergency Center.
• Work with the appropriate internal regulatory representatives to ensure federal and state agencies are up to date with the company’s emergency readiness operations and training in both transmission and distribution operations
• Analyze risk exposure, devise course corrections, and support implementation of measures to ensure business continuity success.
• Support mutual assistance effort

Education, Experience, & Skills:
• Associates degree or higher, or equivalent work experience required. Degree in Emergency Management a plus.
• 3 years or more experience in program and/or project management preferred.
• Ability to effectively interface with all levels of internal/external management, employees and other stakeholders.
• Effectively network both internally and externally in order to facilitate understanding of business continuity risks and transfer of best practice.
• Demonstrates economic, environmental and political awareness and knowledge across the various business and geographies operations.
• Ability to develop effective working relationships with business units and service providers.
• Strong working knowledge of PC and web-based tools and ability to develop computer-based training programs and simulations.
