Hours: Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM

Pay: $90,000 - $100,000/year

Position Overview:

The Assistant Controller manages key accounting and reporting functions, including budgeting, planning, forecasting, financial reporting, internal controls, risk management, and compliance. The role involves analyzing financial data, preparing reports on assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and tax liabilities, and supporting Board presentations. The Assistant Controller also assists with treasury and cash management, leads a team of up to four staff members, and works closely with management across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Budgeting and forecasting

• Full cycle general ledger accounting

• Implement financial systems and controls to protect assets, prevent fraud, ensure compliance, and support accurate reporting.

• Coordinate with auditors and ensure compliance with audit requirements

• Compile data and compose financial reports for internal and external reporting

• Oversee and manage staff’s performance of A/R and A/P functions

• Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to GAAP reporting and procedural standards

• Thorough analysis and commentary on General and Administrative (G&A) expenses, including expense control and cost saving recommendations and detailed accounting footnotes to explain MoM, QoQ and YoY variances.

• Prepare accurate pricing models for new business opportunities

• Performs regular sensitivity analysis of reported margins to determine billing irregularities

• Perform detailed analysis, offer expert financial insights, design complex spreadsheets, and support executive decision-making.

• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements with footnotes

• Execute special projects related to all OTSL business holdings as needed

Your Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience; 8+ preferred

• Accounting professional with experience supervising an accounting team

• Accounting experience required; finance experience is a plus

• Proficient use of ERP systems

• Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting technologies

• Strong systems thinker for expense and account management
