Shipping/Receiving Coordinator- Dock

The Material Handler position ensures that the day to day dock requirements and duties are completed. The duties included but not limited to are receiving/shipping, identifying/inspecting, verifying and securing incoming materials. Same day delivery and distribution of material to its proper destination. Accurately receive all purchase orders into SAP according to company procedures. Be able to perform at a high-volume dock. This is working on a high performing team, so must be a team player. Experience with a handheld RF scanner is a bonus!

Location: Dallas (75/635 interchange) and Richardson

Hours: M-F 8:30am-5:00 pm OR 7am-3:30 pm. Must be available to work either shift.

Pay range: $17.50/hr - $19.25/hr + Medical, 401K, and PTO

Essential Functions:

Problem Resolution: Support purchasing, traffic, end users, and stockrooms by identifying and resolving issues related to receipts and supplier invoices, ensuring smooth workflow and accurate record-keeping.
Self-Motivated: Demonstrate initiative and strong organizational skills by working effectively with minimal supervision to meet daily goals.
Data Entry: Conduct receiving transactions in SAP accurately, ensuring precision in data entry and record maintenance.
Inventory Management: Accurately input all materials into the dock tracking system, maintain inventory control, and manage stock levels to prevent shortages.
Shipping Documentation: Prepare and complete shipping manifests, labels, and Bills of Lading (BOLs) for both Quick and FedEx shipments to ensure on-time and compliant delivery.
Delivery Coordination: Complete same-day deliveries, ensuring items reach intended destinations promptly, including hands-on delivery to specified points within the facility.
Clerical Duties: Perform essential clerical tasks, including filing, organizing, and sorting documents as needed for accurate record keeping.
Damage Reporting: Promptly report any damages to shipments following the established reporting process.
Equipment Operation: Safely operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, adhering to safety protocols to prevent accidents.
Technology Proficiency: Execute tasks accurately across various platforms, including PCs, laptops, tablets, and dock tracking systems, ensuring efficient use of technology.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of related experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics.
SAP Skills: Advanced proficiency in SAP with at least 1 year of hands-on experience.
Warehouse Equipment: Competent in the safe operation of warehouse equipment.
Microsoft Office Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive background check.
Self-Management: Ability to establish and follow daily routines, prioritize effectively, and work independently.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with team members and external contacts.
Multi-tasking Ability: Able to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail throughout the day.
