Position Overview:

We are seeking a dependable and skilled CDL Yard Jockey to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 months of experience operating yard trucks and hold a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). This role involves safely and efficiently moving trailers within the yard, ensuring timely and accurate trailer placement to support operational flow, and collaborating with warehouse personnel to facilitate smooth loading and unloading processes. The CDL Yard Jockey is also responsible for maintaining equipment and adhering to safety protocols at all times. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly.

Shift: Monday to Friday 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM (Weekends as needed)

Essential Functions:

• Safely operate yard trucks to move trailers within the facility
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of equipment
• Communicate effectively with warehouse and logistics teams
• Maintain accurate records of trailer movements
• Adhere to all safety and company policies

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum 6 months of yard jockey experience
• Valid CDL (Class A or B)
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience in a warehouse/stockroom environment
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Strong understanding of yard operations and trailer movement.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to work in ALL weather conditions
• Stand, walk and sit for over 2/3 of the time.
• Use hands to finger, handle or feel under 2/3 of the time.
• Reach with hands or arms under 2/3 of the time.
• Climb or balance under 1/3 of the time.
• Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl under 1/3 of the time.
• Talk and hear clearly.
• Ability to be on feet 7 hours daily
• Occasionally help reorganize spaces and help move small objects
• Work in high, precarious places under 1/3 of the time.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50lbs
